Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure has officially launched its second phase (Stage 2). Under this initiative, underutilized lands and properties belonging to institutions under the Ministry—namely the Janatha Estates Development Board (JEDB), the Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation (SLSPC), and the Elkaduwa Plantations Limited (EPL)—are set to be optimally developed. Expressions of Interest (EOI) have already been invited from qualified local investors for these investment opportunities.
Under this project, opportunities are available to invest in large estate lands, tea factories, and bungalows located in districts such as Kandy, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Monaragala, Kegalle, and Galle.
